Kate had a busy Monday, too + Happy birthday, Edward! + Andrew is awful (but we already knew that)

In addition to attending the Commonwealth Day Service herself – and rewearing a red coat that you might remember from Christmas Day services with the Family in 2018 – Kate hosted a gala dinner last night at Buckingham Palace in honor of the 25th anniversary of one of her patronages, the children’s mental health organization Place2Be. She rocked another Royal rewear, recycling a gorgeous Jenny Packham gown that she wore on a Royal tour of India in 2016.

Something I am absolutely loving is that as of late, we’ve been seeing Kate make more and more speeches as she literally and figuratively finds her voice. Last night was no exception, as she took to the stage to say

“Place2Be was one of the first charities I became patron of. I knew it was special then, but having spent many years since, learning about the importance of childhood development, I see even more the value in the work that you do and I am hugely grateful for all that you have taught me over the past seven years. You taught me, right from the start, that the children in your schools are only as happy and emotionally strong as the adults in their care. That is why you take such great pride in the work you do with your teachers and your parents. You taught me the importance of creating safe and nurturing environments within schools, embracing a holistic view of emotional well-being which permeates through the whole school system. You also taught me that it’s the simplest things that make a difference to children. It’s the quality time that is spent with them. It’s the time you take to listen to them. It is trusting relationships that have the most profound impact on the emotional and mental well-being of a child.”

Today, March 10, also marks Edward’s 56th birthday – happy birthday to the Queen’s youngest child and arguably one of the most stable, secure, and steady members of the entire Family. His tireless work ethic and commitment to his wife and two children should be commended. He may be quiet, but he leaves a mark, and I appreciate him even more because…

…his older brother, Andrew, is such a farce. Andrew is allegedly not cooperating at all with the Jeffrey Epstein investigation and has no plans to change his tune. What a joke.
