On Sunday, the Queen delivered a very moving speech in response to coronavirus from Windsor Castle. It’s definitely worth taking a listen to here. Be prepared – you’ll cry at the end. (At least if you’re me.) I must say – Her Majesty looked particularly beautiful in her green and her pearls. I am so glad she is well, as U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson is in the hospital fighting this awful disease.
Also, tomorrow, April 9, Charles and Camilla will celebrate 15 years of marriage. I am so happy that Charles is well enough to celebrate this occasion with Camilla, and not in self-isolation. Charles, at 71, is one of the lucky ones that has recovered from COVID-19, and for that I am thankful.
Also, yesterday Harry and Meghan filed trademark paperwork for “Archewell Foundation,” leading to the assumption that this is the name of their new venture, rather than Sussex Royal. The name, of course, is in honor of their 11-month-old Archie, and the name means “source of action” in Greek. Because of COVID-19, don’t expect the Sussexes to make a big splash with Archewell until likely the fall.
Kate, meanwhile, continues to homeschool George and Charlotte at she and William’s country home. She is also likely preparing for Louis’ upcoming second birthday later this month, and has been enjoying time with the Cambridge kiddos outdoors.
Here’s to happy moments like celebrating anniversaries – Charles and Camilla’s tomorrow, and William and Kate’s ninth anniversary on April 29 – birthdays (the Queen turns 94 on April 21 and Louis turns two on April 23), and the beautiful weather even amidst so much upheaval.
